Director Jonathan Moyer presented at the keystone session of the Alexandria Dialogues, an event sponsored by the UN and in collaboration with the Government of Egypt and the Bibliotecha Alexandria. He presented on issues of epistemology and forecasting with the former minister of finance.
On December 5th and 6th of 2019, Director Jonathan Moyer presented at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, as well as a briefing on Capitol Hill. Alongside him were UN leadership officials and together they spoke about the impact of conflict in Yemen on development and the achievement of the sustainable development goals.
Along with the UN's 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the launch of Yemen's second Impact of War report entitled: "Assessing The Impact of Conflict in Yemen on The Achievement of The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" was conducted.
Barry Hughes, Brian O'Neill, and Dale S. Rothman each presented papers at the 12th Annual Meeting of the Integrated Assessment Modeling Consortium in Tsukuba, Japan (December 2-4, 2019).
In August of 2019, at the annual conference of the American Political Science Association, Research Associate and corresponding author Austin Matthews presented research on forecasting dyadic intergovernmental organization membership.
In October of 2019, Senior Research Associate David K. Bohl traveled to Mexico and gave a presentation on IFs at the What Works Global Summit 2019.
In July of 2019, members from the Brazilian United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) team, Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA), Codeplan, and Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) visited the Pardee Center in Denver, Colorado. Senior Research Associate, David K. Bohl, facilitated training on how to use, present, and train on IFs.
