Director Jonathan D. Moyer participated in the 2017 American Political Science Association (APSA) Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA (August 30—September 3, 2017). His contributions included a panel discussion on Jack Goldstone’s Revolution and Rebellion in the Early Modern World at the 25-year mark and a presentation of a paper co-authored by our Research Associate Drew Bowlsby and Research Affiliate Caleb Petry: Forecasting the threat of international conflict using new data: how good are we? The paper evaluates how predictively accurate we are when modeling international conflict with an eye towards improving the IFs model. In addition, faculty affiliate Olive Kaplan presented a paper, co-authored by Assistant Professor Moyer, on new Human Trafficking data collected by the Pardee Center.
