At a three-day course organized by the Geneva Center for Security Policy in collaboration with the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Jonathan D. Moyer presented “The Use of Data in Long-term Planning: The International Futures Integrated Assessment Platform." The course was held in New York December 12-14 as part of a project entitled “Adapting the UN’s Strategic Anticipation Capabilities to Enable Early Action," which seeks to help the UN better anticipate future developments and effectively identify issue interlinkages. Representatives from across the UN participated in Professor Moyer's course, which explored use of data for long-term analysis and policy application.
