Michael’s research interests lie in the social and political drivers of Chinese monetary policy, Chinese nationalism, and international political economy. He has extensive experience working with China and international finance in both the public and private sectors. His decision to join the Pardee team stemmed from his interest in computer programming and applying systems theory to better understand the drivers of trends in the economy. He lived in Germany growing up and has spent time working and studying in various Asian countries. Most recently, he served as senior analyst and technical director for a division of over 60 analysts and developers. In his free time, Michael enjoys studying the Chinese language, computer programming, and collecting classic blues records.
