Ara Go enrolled at the Josef Korbel School in Fall 2012, pursuing a M.A. in International Development. Her research interests include poverty reduction, education and health policy as well as women’s economic empowerment.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature at Seoul National University in South Korea. While in college, she spent one year studying Mandarin in China. Her travel to many different regions in China, Tibet and Nepal has inspired her to pursue further study on International Development. After graduation, she worked for over three years at Samsung Electronics as Global Product Manager, and gained project management and data analysis skills.

In her first year at Pardee, Ara mainly worked on IFs data import and vetting as well as the Diplometrics project. She worked at the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) Pretoria office in South Africa in the spring of 2013 as Research Assistant/Intern and published a policy brief on population forecasts for South Africa as a co-author. She is currently working primarily on the IFs help system.
