Jessica Rettig, M.A.

Jessica worked at the Pardee Center from August 2012 to June 2014 as a Research Assistant and rejoined the team in June 2016 as a Research Consultant. In March 2017, she became the center's Project Management Officer. With a background in journalism, copywriting and brand strategy, she contributes to the center's project management, strategic planning and communications efforts.

Jessica was a Sié Chéou-Kang Fellow at the Korbel School of International Studies, where she earned her master's degree in Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration, with a concentration in Global Brand Management. As a Research Assistant at Pardee, she was responsible for the center's communications and contributed to African Futures Project policy briefs and a technical report for the African Union's New Partnership for Africa's Development. After graduating from Korbel, she worked at a Sydney-based B2B digital creative agency, Bang Australia, managing integrated marketing campaigns and brand development projects for global and regional ICT and financial services clients including Microsoft, IBM, Dimension Data, Ingram Micro, J.P. Morgan, Moore Stephens and Vocus Communications.

Previously, Jessica was a reporter on the politics and policy team at U.S. News & World Report in Washington, DC, where she reported on national issues such as energy, environment, foreign affairs, and federal elections. She has also contributed to various other domestic and international publications, including World Politics ReviewWhite House Bulletin and Daily Finance, and served as Treasurer and Fellowship Chair on the Board of Directors for the Journalism and Women Symposium.
