Alea is interested in indigenous rights and development. She studied Anthropology and Linguistics at the University of Colorado Boulder. She studied abroad for a semester in Italy, followed by a semester in Peru studying indigenous people and globalization, where she conducted her own research on internet usage and its effects on an indigenous population in the Andes. Alea is an avid reader, smeller of roses, language enthusiast, and lover of British television.
