Standalone (download) version—Requirements are at least 2 gigabytes of hard drive space and 1 gigabyte of memory; operating systems supported are Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
The IFs model in both its online and downloadable forms is available, without charge, for anyone to use. Forecasts from IFs are also accessible via Google’s Public Data Explorer system and through web links from Wikipedia's country profile pages. Links from both of those sources will take you directly into the IFs system on the University of Denver’s servers.
Supporting the Open Source Community The code underlying IFs is open-source to support educational use and the development of the next generation of analysts. You are welcome to develop your own modules and subsystems for use with the IFs system.
Free open-source software is not free to develop or maintain, of course. We hope that if you find IFs useful you will credit and provide feedback to the Pardee Center.
We recommend the following citation for referencing IFs: International Futures (IFs) modeling system, Version x.xx. Frederick S. Pardee Center for International Futures, Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver, Denver, CO.
